SMS Messaging Program & Consent

Effective date: May 30, 2026  ·  maeil.cc  ·  CB Industries LLC

This page describes maeil's SMS messaging program and how recipients consent to receive text messages. It is published so that carriers, recipients, and messaging reviewers can verify our opt-in process.

Who sends the messages

maeil, operated by CB Industries LLC, is a service that lets an event organizer send a calendar invitation to a guest's US mobile number by SMS. All messages are sent under the registered brand name maeil. Contact: maeil@cb-industries.co.

What messages we send

maeil sends transactional messages only — never marketing or promotional content. There are exactly two kinds:

How recipients consent (opt-in)

Consent is collected by the event organizer, who must have the recipient's permission before inviting them:

  1. An event organizer creates a calendar event and adds the recipient's US mobile number as a guest (e.g. 5551234567@maeil.cc).
  2. Before doing so, the organizer must attest — and agrees in our Terms of Service — that they have the recipient's prior express permission to be contacted about scheduling, in compliance with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA).
  3. The recipient receives a single invitation SMS (shown below) and gives an affirmative action by tapping the secure link and choosing Accept or Decline. No further messages are sent unless the recipient acts.
  4. The recipient can reply STOP at any time to opt out, or HELP for assistance.

What the organizer sees — where consent is confirmed

maeil's opt-in is organizer-attested. There is no public form where a stranger submits someone else's number — the person sending the invite confirms they already have permission. They add the recipient's US mobile number as a guest in their own calendar app:

New event  ·  Calendar
Coffee with Alex
📆 Thursday, June 12  ·  10:00 AM
Guests
5551234567@maeil.cc  — invited by text

Before they can send, every organizer agrees to this attestation in maeil's Terms of Service:

"You have obtained the recipient's prior express consent to receive SMS messages about scheduling from you … in compliance with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA)."

What the recipient sees

The invitation text message:

maeil: You're invited to "Coffee" on Thursday, June 12 at 10:00 AM by acme.com. Accept/decline: https://app.maeil.cc/a/Ab3xYz

Reply STOP to opt out.

Tapping the link opens this page, where the recipient confirms and shares their email to respond:
